Fudgy Brownies



Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

1/2 cup Butter or margarine
4 Squares (ounces) Unsweetened Chocolate
4 eggs
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Sifted flour.  Really, who does this anymore?
1 tsp vanilla
1 Cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts

Melt butter and chocolate together over hot water; cool slightly.  Beat eggs until foamy.  Gradually add sugar, beating after each addition.  Add Chocolate mixture, and blend.  Stir in flour.  Add vanilla and nuts.  Spread in greased and floured 9 X 9 pan.  I used one slightly bigger but not a 9 X 13.  They will be thick if you use the 9 X 9.

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.  If you are using a bigger pan it will bake a bit quicker, 30 to 35 minutes.  Cool and cut into squares.  Unless you are like me and wanted them hot.  The top is crunchy and the inside is creamy.  Delicious!
